Cape Peninsula Tour

Cape Peninsula Tour

We start the day with a scenic coastal drive along the Atlantic Seaboard, passing through Clifton and Camps Bay to the working harbour at Hout Bay, and on to Chapman’s Peak. Here, we stop to take in the panoramic views from one of the most spectacular roads in the country.

Next, we continue through the coastal villages of Noordhoek, Kommetjie, and Scarborough before arriving at the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Cape Point. A short walk to the viewpoint at the most south westerly point of the continent rewards us with more spectacular views and excellent photo opportunities.

From here, we turn and head up the eastern side of the peninsula before arriving at Boulders Beach Penguin Colony. This is home to a large population of the protected African penguin and offers the opportunity to encounter them up close in their natural habitat.

Our next destination is the historic town of Simon’s Town. We make a short stop to explore the town, with the option of a boat trip from the harbour to view Cape Point and Boulders Beach from the sea, as well as a small seal colony and the possibility of encountering dolphins and whales.

We stop for lunch at one of the local seaside restaurants in the area.

Our final stop is the charming fishing village of Kalk Bay. Home to a number of quaint antique shops, boutiques, and coffee shops, it is the perfect way to end a unique journey around the peninsula before returning to Cape Town.
